“The classes were comprehensive, covering all of the body from head-to-toe. There was good focus on breathing, relaxation and preparing for birth in various positions.
I enjoyed the relaxation at the end and almost fell asleep! I felt very nurtured by Emilie and would be happy to recommend her to other expectant mums.”

    Mrs E. Hawke

“The best thing was the reassurance, empowerment and relief gained from all the information on the course. I only wish it lasted longer - what a wonderful day.”

“Thanks for your time and lovely attention. I really enjoyed the whole class, especially because it had a bit of everything, it wasn’t only yoga and exercise. After the class, I felt very relaxed all evening.”

    S, Brighton

"I just wanted to say thank you so much for yesterdays session, it was magical and just what me and baby bean needed.
    Thank you so much!"

Jenny, Mum to Isla (4) and Niamh (4 months)

"It’s a really lovely class, yoga for the mums with lots of stretches, and she tailors the class to what we need, and the babies are with us and being entertained and engaged. All the babies are aged between about 2 months and crawling and Niamh loves it, she laughs and giggles her way through the class, I see it as our one on one time, I’d happily recommend it to others. "

"Emilie’s Move Together Pregnancy Yoga classes during my first pregnancy - they are lovely, nurturing and a really great tonic however far along you are. Emilie is down to earth and friendly; she creates an inclusive and warm environment for the classes. Every session she listens to what is going on with each of us and tailors the class to what we need to help relax, strengthen and connect with our babies. I really recommend these classes for the all essential 'me' time during pregnancy as they've really helped me to breathe, stretch and properly listen to my body. "

  • Postnatal support for families

Traditionally, families would have the support of the extended family and community during this important stage, however the way we live now mean families are often more spread out and lives busy, while the need for help remains. Doula support can nurture the mother and support the father during this intense time of change; offering whatever combination of practical and emotional support is needed for the birth and postnatal care.

Postnatal doula support aims to assist family bonding with a newborn. The first weeks with a new baby is a time of transition, healing and adaptation for the whole family. It’s important that new parents take care of themselves in order to care for their new baby. I’m happy to help families during this transition period, as well as further into the first year of parenting as needed, my definition of 'postnatal' is a bit longer than others.

Think of me as more of a ‘mothers help’ than as an expert coming in to do or fix things. I will be guided by your needs and wishes (and I’m happy to clean the dishes).

We can chat about what help would most benefit you – birth debriefing if your birth experience is running through your mind, help with light housework (e.g. washing up and laundry), simple home cooking, providing information on baby wearing, support with breastfeeding, time to have a bath or eat lunch with both hands, a listening ear and giving time and
space for mum (and dad) to rest and recuperate.

NB This is not to take care of baby, but to help you find your way in the early days. It’s a similar approach to the Dutch ‘kraamzorg’ as described in The Independent.

Worried about money? Talk to me about options for payment / skill exchange / concessionary rates. Get the help you need with your newborn.
