    Emilie Joy Rowell, yoga teacher in Somerset. Antenatal teacher, postnatal yoga teacher, pregnancy and mothers massage in Frome and beyond

    Emilie has a wealth of knowledge and a down to earth attitude. Her own yoga practice began 12 years ago when she was pregnant with her first child and went to Scaravelli influenced classes with her teacher Dominique Sakoilsky. Enjoying the playful, personal approach Emilie went on to train with Dominique through Relaxed Birth & Parenting.


    She qualified as an antenatal teacher and doula in 2008 and has since trained with Michel Odent, Nurturing Birth, Sheila Kitzinger and Stephanie Larson as well as completing pregnancy and postnatal Yoga Teacher Training with Nadia Narain at Triyoga in London.


    Offering parents a positive approach to birth and life with a new baby; her classes cover all the essentials for birthing at home or in hospital with exercises and tips for the transition into parenting; whether it's the first step or you are growing your family.

    Emilie has an enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) certificate, is a certified yoga teacher with a 200 hour training, specialist qualification in abdominal separation, and training with Elaine Stillerman in pregnancy and postnatal massage. Committed to continually expanding her knowledge, she's recently studied movement during pregnancy with world renowned biomechanics specialist Katy Bowman.

    She's 'mum' to 2 boys aged 12 and 5, a hormone geek, professional hoop and fire dancer, a keen home baker and bunting maker.

    Prepare for birth and parenting with these gently strengthening yoga based classes.
    Learn to relax, sleep better and feel good about birth and parenting.


    To prepare you and your birth partner for the experience of birth and parenting. We'll learn about the body and the mind in birth, active birth, how to support a woman in labour, birth plans, options, caring for a newborn and what to expect in those early days.

    Postnatal classes with gentle stretches for baby and you. Perfect to get moving and find some you-time in the early stages of new motherhood. Wednesday afternoons in Frome.

    Classes and Workshops

    1. Block Bookings (i.e. a set of classes) are non refundable. This is so we can all commit to coming to classes weekly and ensures that the hall booking is covered.

    2. Private Classes will be refunded or rescheduled if 3 full days notice is given, a 30% refund or alternative booking will be offered if more than 24 hours notice is given.

    3. Concessionary Discounts are available - please discuss with Emilie to get a discount code.

    4. A booking is confirmed once motherslove and the client have both agreed a date, time, duration and location for a the class.

    5. motherslove reserves the right to refuse admission.     

    6. motherslove has the right to alter the programme or teaching staff if circumstances are beyond their control.

    7. If a class or workshop has to end or is interrupted for reasons beyond our control sessions will not be refunded.

    8. Latecomers may be admitted at the discretion of management and teacher/workshop leader.

    9. Our timetable may be subject to change during the school holidays.

    10. Refunds will be issues or an alternative offered is sessions are cancelled by motherslove.

        1. All treatments provided by motherslove will last for the specified duration purchased - consultation is an important part of the treatment and will for part of the time.

        2. Treatments will only be conducted if motherslove deems the treatment safe for the client to receive.

       3. GP/Consultant permission may be required before treatments can be provided.

        4. motherslove reserves the right to terminate a treatment immediately if the client demonstrates inappropriate  behavior.
      5. Payment will be collected for the full treatment price, provided more than 10 minutes has been spent massaging the client.

       6.  If the therapist is unable to collect money before leaving, an invoice will be sent to the client’s address.

        7. All invoices must be paid within 7 days of issue date.

        8.  A booking is confirmed once motherslove and the client have both agreed a date, time, duration and location for a treatment.

       9. If a cancellation is made more than 24 hours before a treatment, the client will not be charged.

       10.  If a cancellation is made within 24 hours of the treatment, they will be expected to pay a cancellation fee for each hour cancelled.

       11.  The cancellation fee must be paid within 7 days of the cancellation.

        12. motherslove has the right to cancel a treatment by giving 24 hours notice.

        13. motherslove has the right to cancel a treatment without notice if the room or environment is unsuitable for the treatment to be provided, or if the therapist is taken ill.

        14. motherslove commits to rearranging treatments to a new time and date within two weeks of the cancelled treatment where possible.

When you signup for a course, workshop or massage with me I take down some personal details in order to understand your needs and to help us communicate well.

Your privacy matters to me, so this information is kept under lock and key if it’s on paper or password protected if digital. It’s a condition of my insurance that I keep records for 7 years. This website is connected to Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Acuity and Facebook. 

I do my best to ensure that services I use (e.g. Acuity) also uphold your privacy. I cannot be responsible for data breaches elsewhere, if you prefer records to be kept on paper please let me know and we can make that happen.

You are entitled to request copies of data held on you by any organisation. Simply ask and they are obliged to let you know.
