‘We arrived at Into The Trees festival not really knowing what to expect – a bit of a last-minute thing on the Sunday (which was actually a glorious sunny day for September). We’re more used to large festivals so it was a welcome change of pace and scale to attend something small and intimate.
The organisers had managed to keep the event interesting, varied and fun for all ages while being petite. Both our boys aged 2 and 9 found plenty to do for the entire day, in fact I think we could have gone back
for a second one.
With cosy details like bunting, tea and cake, a simple selection of veggie and meaty food with child-friendly options, and beer (although we didn’t try any as we were driving). It felt homely and well organised. Staffs
were friendly and helpful, and there were kids in the trees everywhere.
Fred’s favourites were pond dipping with Sussex Wildlife Trust and the slack lining; both great, free activities. Griff liked the Tentsile tree tents, The Woodland Trust wildlife trail and the tiny house the most (he
would have moved into the little house given half a chance). Us grown ups had fun watching the little wild things play and checking out the yurts and roundhouses.
