• Flexible support & a mind Body approach to birth

Doula packages for pregnant people and their birth partners during covid-19.

Because things aren't what they normally are I'm looking at different ways to offer my support. 2020 has been a ride, and I feel that deeper connection, strnger relationships and community is needed. I've been wanting to work in a more embodied way with doualing o

I'm shifting my focus in order to be able to offer more depth and support, combining my virtual doula-ing with movement and community sessions.

Body Mind approaches to pregnancy, birth and postnatal life

Find ways you can help yourself & your birth partner to have your best possible experience of pregnancy, meeting baby & early months with your baby.

I can support you to can explore options for a more comfortable pregnancy, including easing pelvic girdle pain, sciatica, stress incontinence and back pain.

We can explore options and information for making choices in birth. Learn helpful biomechanics informed movements for labour, techniques you can practice in pregnancy that can be used during labour if things aren't quite going to plan, plus simple massage techniques that can be done with a birth partner.

    Birth Doula

As an extra I can be on call for your birth via video call, and hold your hand virtually (or in person if you're local and things chance with access in maternity wards). Space for this is more limited. Talk to me about the TLC option if you're interested.

Space for straight talking, where you can be honest about feelings, fears and expectations. Debrief on previous birth experiences and make plans for beyond the birth.

I will listen to how things are going, and offer you ideas, provide information and signpost you to other services. I can also help with movement and mindfulness practices to help you come home to your body after baby is born. As well as a doula I'm an NCT trained breastfeeding peer supporter.

    How does it work?

I'm offering this on a 3 month minimum basis and priced on a sliding scale.

Some low and no cost places are available and a free 30 minute call is available to help you decide if it's a good fit to work together, or to get in the moment support if that's what you need.

    What do you get?

    • Active birth sessions to help prepare for birth
    • Weekly pregnancy or postnatal movement
    • Access to my library of books (if you're local)
    • Help sourcing info as / when you might need it
    • Planning or practical support after baby arrives
    • You can use your 1-2-1's for movement or doula-ing.
These may be a mixture of 1-2-1 and group sessions.

Grab a cuppa and something tasty and we can have a video call or a telephone chat to see if this is a good fit.

If you're local a socially distanced cuppa and meet up can work for an intro chat and or for sessions.

    More than Pregnancy Yoga

    movement for life

Rather than just teaching you pregnancy yoga poses and breathing, I would love to give you a deeper experience and understanding of the changes in your body. I'm adapting my doula and movement practice to offer you continuity, connection and a more individual service.

It's not going to be anything like doing a youtube yoga video on your own. That said, we'll still do some stuff that looks and feels like yoga as part of this.

    When to start?

    whenever you're ready...

You can join us while you're trying to conceive, after baby has arrived, or weeks before birth. Join whenever you're ready.

Before conception and in early pregnancy we can look at habits that can help you balance your pelvis and pelvic floor. Setting you up for more ease in pregnancy.

In the second trimester it might be more about keeping you moving and adapting to your shifting center of gravity as baby grows.

Approaching birth exlporing approaches to birth, movement and massage techniques that can help you and baby get in the best possible place for birth.

Postnatal adapting to life with a newborn and starting to come home to your body after birth.

Life as a parent hands up - it's not just the immediate birth and postnatal bit that support can be useful for. I'm happy to help with a holistic approach to mind and body for the longer term, any time into the first year of parenting.

    The Embodied Doula Approach

    holistic, embodied and adaptable

This approach is all about getting to know your body better. Not just the biomechanics of how you move, but the lived emotional landscape of you.

Becoming a parent (or growing your family) is a massive shift.

I'd love to help you gather up a toolkit of

    • embodiemnt and biomechanics informed mindful movement for your everyday wellbeing,
    • knowledge of how your body works to help your birth go as smoothly as possible,
    • friends who are in similar boats (for those 3am feeds and change WhatsApp chats),
    • Support in your pocket.

Beta testing price, that fits these strange times... it's important to me that you get good value and the juicy stuff that's available. It's also matters that price isn't the thing that puts you off.

These prices are likely to go up in future, but you get the rate you signed up for for as long as you'd like to stay - i.e. if you're newly pregnant you can join now and pay £59 a month for help through pregnancy, support to prepare for your birth and for up to a year after baby arrives. If you sign up and find your circumstances have changed you can apply for a reduction.

I ask that you sign up for a minimum of 3 months and that you give 1 months notice when you're ready to leave. 3 months is enough time to make some real and sustainable changes, to forge friendships and to gain from what's available.

The £199.00 option gives you everything in the standard package, plus more in depth care. I can be on call for you and your birth partner during labour and in the following weeks. If you're local visits may be possible (covid permitting). These are limited to ensure that I can be there for you. Click through to book a call with me if you'd like to know more. You can join either of the other options straight away of you like, just selct your choice.
